Anna in Action

the AMP experience

Hey Sunshine face, it's great to meet you!

I’m Anna, your possible new hype girl.

I'm a dance around the kitchen, grocery store or middle of the road kind of girl who LOVES black McDonalds coffee and snuggling my rescue pup. I've been to 14 countries SO FAR and look for any excuse to jump on a plane or jump straight into my man's arms. I'm an ENFJ, enneagram 7 and gemini- analyze that. ;)

I am SO READY for you. Are you ready for me?

The Quick Facts:

Shooting For: COUPLES ALL OVER THE WORLD aka anywhere your love and creativity takes me! But I call Madison, WI home.

Favorite Drink: McDonalds black coffee. Someone back me up on this.

Shooting Style: Candid and quirky, I don't pose often but instead guide you into certain actions and movements that make pictures look more authentic and capture who you are (like make you spin in circles or tackle each other to the ground). Then I add a little of Anna humor, weird squeals or awkward movements to make you giggle or question my sanity. Probably both.

If someone could play me in a movie... It'd be Emma Stone. Maybe because she's a redhead, maybe because I aspire to be at her level of comedic wittiness. Maybe because she kissed Ryan Gosling. I don't know.

Editing Style: Warm, moody, artistic AF. I am ALL about self love so I will capture every part of your beauty and proudly display it as is. I enhance photos to bring out their magic but I don't alter images to make people look thinner, taller, into fairytale creatures, etc. Be YOU, love YOU.

How I Became a Photographer

we all have a weird story

When I was little, I’d make my cousins be my models. For real. I would grab my bright green, brand new digital camera that my mom got me for my birthday and make them pose in the woods, in my room, on the grass with little flower crowns- you NAME it. It’s like the universe was throwing pretty big hints at me that I didn’t really figure out.

Fast forward to college where I was dabbling in photography for extra income and getting my degree in communication. I had no idea what I wanted to do, but I always had photography on the side as I was trying to figure it out. BUT, I was one of those people who said “Do I really want my passion as my career? Will I still like it?” So I didn’t really give it much thought considering I was currently adding on thousands of dollars to get a degree.

Graduation comes and I get my FIRST job at a small college in Madison doing student services. I quickly learned that the school was a sinking ship and knew I was going to either have to quit or be let go any day. SO, I applied for several jobs in Madison (to no avail) to finally get smacked in the face with an idea that changed the course of my life.

I decided to teach English in Europe.

I committed in December of 2016, quit my job in June of 2017 and at my going away party, had a conversation with a super cute, tall Norwegian guy that I now have a dog and home with. (aka I met the love of my life 3 weeks before I left). I was gone for only 3 months after my visa was denied for residency and I didn’t want to risk getting kicked out for 10 years so naturally I moved back in with my parents.

I had a completely blank canvas.

Luckily, I’m from a family of business owners so I worked as my mom’s assistant while trying to figure out what the heck to do. In January of 2018, I was talking with my family and decided that I was going to give photography a shot. Like ACTUALLY promote myself and work really really hard for 6 months and see what happens. Just SIX months. I wanted to see what I could really do if I put my heart and soul behind it.

In that six months, my business took off. I moved back to Madison in April, worked my BUTT off to break into the Madison market, and started bartending to supplement my income. I shot 6 weddings that year and booked 20 for the past year. I. WORKED. MY. BOOTY. OFF.

I made a financial plan and MET it to be able to launch my full time business in May of 2019 and it has allowed me the freedom and dedication to expand my business into what it is right now but not even close to what it will be.

Throughout the past two years, I’ve realized that I LOVE shooting couples, capturing connection and celebrating the ultimate party of love. I realized that my background love for travel has inspired me to shoot elopements, getaways or just for fun travel trips to combine my two greatest passions.

Here I am today.

I am growing so much and have come SO far and it wasn’t by luck or chance. I worked my BUTT off to be able to be a full time business owner and will continue to inspire newbie photogs and capture couples around the world.

So, do you want to be a part of my story?

When we got engaged, there was no doubt in my mind that we wanted Anna to be our photographer. It has been a joy to follow her work and then to see the result of her capturing our day was just breathtaking. Anna is SO much fun to work with! She is high energy and makes you feel comfortable and in your element. We got our sneak peek just a couple days after the wedding and recently got the whole album. I can’t give you enough praise, Anna. We are absolutely blown away by your talent.

Anna is amazing. When we met her, she squashed any anxiety I had about hiring her to be our wedding photographer or about having our photos taken in general. Anna is friendly, funny, sweet, and not to mention extremely talented. She really is the whole package! Coming up to our wedding, I knew I could trust Anna and knowing that allowed me to NOT worry AT ALL about our wedding photos. After seeing her work from our engagement shoot (not to mention all the amazing compliments we’ve received), I just knew we were in good hands. As someone who rarely cares for how they look photographed, I really did love how our photos turned out. Anna’s work is so darn good you’ll hardly noticed the flaws you normally hone in on because you’re too focused on how dang good the photos look! I truly cannot say enough positive things about Anna and her work. Our photos look stunning – even better than I could ever have imagined. Thank you Anna for everything

Anna was our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos. As soon as we met her at the engagement session, we knew we lucked out! My husband even commented on how easy it was to take pictures with her (he usually hates taking pictures). On our wedding day, Anna was so much more than a photographer. She kept our day on schedule, helped with calming nerves, and was ready to help with anything else we needed...ALL while capturing our whole entire day beautifully. I highly recommend working with Anna!

ANNA GETS 156729036X infinity/10 stars. SHE IS AMAZING. part of me wanted to keep it a secret so that I can solely keep her to myself HOWEVER I’m too obsessed to keep secrets. I want Anna to capture everything in my life, probably going to have to move to wherever she goes so I can have her capture our life. If you’re thinking about it just say yes. You’ll love her and everything she captures and creates. Also-does great with doggos! I LOVE ANNA.
