Her Story
{ THE PROLOGUE }
I started my business officially back in January of 2022 as an LLC + insured business and started photographing weddings that spring. I got married that same year which only pushed me more into the wedding industry and I haven’t looked back since. But my journey into photography started long before that.
{ THE PLOT TWIST }
I went to college for Audio Engineering and Music Business at Belmont University in Nashville. I had the full intention of entering into the music industry and thought that I would jump into a career in the recording studio. Turns out Covid-19 had other plans and turned my life upside down just a few months post graduation. Photography is what I turned to, to which I slowly started building my business with the smallest amount of funds to my name and a camera I was gifted at 16 years old (Sounds like a cheesy sob story but unfortunately it was true).
{ RESOLUTION }
Photography became so much more than just a hobby after a few months of starting to get clients. While yes, I do this to make money, I am also someone that loves to deeply connect with others. Growing up I always disliked working jobs that made me feel robotic and disconnected (aka they only wanted your money ). When I started photography I thought I wanted to get into the business side of it by doing product photography. I learned very quickly that it was not for me and I decided to give weddings a try. I instantly fell in love with the connection that was felt between the work and the client. Photographing love in its purest essence felt like home and I knew that I wanted to capture love stories for the foreseeable future. My own marriage with my husband is a large reason why I love capturing weddings for others. Our story is unique in so many ways and capturing our wedding in a way that represented us meant a lot to me. Our photographer did an amazing job and I love looking back at our day. This pushed me to provide the same experience to my clients.
